Dasvi FIRST LOOK: Abhishek Bachchan starrer, from the makers of Hindi Medium, Angrezi Medium, starts rolling | Bollywood Life



Abhishek Bachchan and Yami Gautam have announced their upcoming venture titled Dasvi on social media, which has went on floors. The Bluffmaster actor announced the look, sharing look with the caption, “Meet GANGA RAM CHAUDHARY #Dasvi Shoot Begins… @yamigautam @NimratOfficial #DineshVijan @LeyzellSandeep #ShobhanaYadav @TusharJalota @writish #KumarVishwas @Soulfulsachin @JIGARSARAIYA #AmitabhBhattacharya @MaddockFilms @bakemycakefilms @jiostudios @JioCinema.” The film, which also stars Nimrat Kaur in a pivotal role, marks the directorial debut of Tushar Jalota and is written by Ritesh Shah. The hilarious social comedy is produced by Dinesh Vijan, Sandeep Leyzell and Shobhana Yadav. Talking about the film, a source earlier told PinkVilla, “It’s a script close to Abhishek’s heart and he is looking forward to get into the tale that chronicles the journey of a corrupt politician.” The source added, “The title of the film is Dasvi, which indicates 10th grade, as Abhishek’s character is that of a SSC failed Chief Minister. Meanwhile, Abhishek Bachchan will be next seen in The Big Bull, which will release on Disney + Hotstar. The film is directed by Kookie Gulati and produced by Ajay Devgn and Anand Pandit. The Big Bull also stars Ileana D’Cruz, Nikita Dutta, Soham Shah, Ram Kapoor, Supriya Pathak and Saurabh Shukla. The film is based on the life and times of stockbroker Harshad Mehta. Harshad orchestrated the Rs 5,000-crore 1992 securities scandal, which led to the exposure of many loopholes in the functioning of the stock market and banks. Earlier, Abhishek Bachchan in an interview had said, “The Big Bull isn’t historical. It is based in Mumbai in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
