Freewallet launches gift cards as part of creating a one-stop platform | Invezz

Freewallet, a leading cryptocurrency wallet that supports more than 100 coins, has introduced a gift card feature as part of a broader goal to evolve into a one-stop-shop for all crypto needs. A press release unveiled this news on February 2, noting that the wallet has introduced this feature after conducting a pilot program, starting late last year. Reportedly, this addition seeks to simplify the lives of users from an e-commerce point of view.

According to the press release, Freewallet joined hands with more than 800 brands across the globe, including Amazon and iTunes, to make the gift card feature possible. The feature will let wallet users purchase gift cards for online brick-and-mortar businesses through the cryptocurrencies that the platform supports. Reportedly, the platform is intuitive to let users complete the purchase process seamlessly. Depending on a user’s preference, each gift card can range from £0.73 to £730.

Allegedly the gift card platform comprises a search tool, which helps users organize options by popularity or alphabetically. The search results allegedly cover a wide range of products and services to cover consumer needs. These include beauty and lifestyle providers, booksellers, department stores, and electronic stores, among others. As such, the gift card feature is a suitable option for crypto enthusiasts to spend their funds on friends, colleagues, or family.

Working together to develop features that stand out

Apart from the gift card feature, Freewallet also partnered with Moonpay, a renowned fiat-to-crypto payment solution, earlier this year. Through this collaboration, Freewallet created a way for its users to buy crypto through credit cards. This integration allows users to use any of the 42 leading fiat currencies that the platform supports to buy a plethora of cryptocurrencies, including BTC, ETH, XRP, and BCH.

According to Freewallet, this development is the fruit of continued communication between its development team and its community. By working together with its community, the company has managed to blend groundbreaking technology with simplicity to create an intuitive all-inclusive crypto hub.
