It will be an understatement to call 2020 terrible. With the coronavirus pandemic, our lives were affected in ways in which we never imagined. We were locked in our homes for a long period. Even the entertainment industry was impacted. The shoots of many films were halted and theatres were shut. The releases of many films were indefinitely pushed. However, the year turned out to be beneficial for OTT platforms as a lot of films and web series were released on them. Now the worst is hopefully behind us and all eyes are on 2021. We are pretty hopeful for the coming year, and what could make it even better is the arrival of these web series sequels. So, 2021, do your thing.
Delhi Crime Season 2
Delhi Crime was one of the finest web series, not just in India, but across the world. It was one moving story and all the main actors – Shefali Shah, Rasika Dugal, Adil Hussain and Rajesh Tailang – did a fantastic job. We hear that a new season with the same team is already on the cards. It will be really good to have them all together again.
Mirzapur 2 released this year and it didn’t disappoint. Many characters went through a drastic change and the story was good, too. We feel season 3 couldn’t come sooner.
Scam 1992 was just brilliant. A great story which was narrated wonderfully by Hansal Mehta. He can totally pull off another season with a new scam story.
Special Ops, an action espionage thriller series created by Neeraj Pandey, was indeed special and now we want to see a new season. 2021, please make it happen.
While Sacred Games 2 wasn’t up to the mark, the characters are still great and we fell the writers and makers should come up with a new and improved season.
