HMD Global, the company that owns the license to manufacture and sell Nokia-banded handsets, has announced new smartphones as part of three new series.
With today’s launch, the company has adopted a new nomenclature for its smartphones and the future launches are expected to be on similar lines as well.
The company has announced the Nokia X-series, G-series and C-series today. While the X-series is the most powerful of the lot, the G-series and C-series are mid-range and entry-level offerings.
Each series includes two handsets thereby marking a launch of six new smartphones — Nokia X20, Nokia X10, Nokia G20, Nokia G10, Nokia C20 and Nokia C10.
Nokia X series availability
The Nokia X20 will be available globally starting May in Midnight Sun and Nordic Blue colour options in 6/128GB and 8/128GB configurations. The Nokia X10 will be available in select markets globally starting June in Forest and Snow colour options in 6/64GB, 6/128GB and 4/128GB configurations.
Nokia G series availability
The Nokia G20 will be available globally starting May in Night and Glacier colour options and comes in 4/64GB and 4/128GB configurations. The Nokia G10 will be available in select markets globally starting late April in Night and Dusk colour options and comes in 3/32GB and 4/64GB configurations.
Nokia C series availability
The Nokia C20 will be available globally starting June in Sand and Dark Blue colour options and comes in 1/16GB, 2/32GB configurations. The Nokia C10 will be available in select markets globally starting [DATE] in Light Purple and Grey colour options and comes in 1/16GB, 1/32GB and 2/16GB configurations.
Nokia X10, X20 specs
Both the Nokia X10 and X20 smartphones offer a 6.67-inch FHD+ display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and 1080x2400p resolution.
They come powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 5G processor and are confirmed to get three years of regular security and software updates. The two run on Android 11 (Android One) OS version of the box and are backed by a 4470mAh battery.
The two differ in terms of the camera department as the Nokia X20 houses a single 32MP camera on the front and a quad rear camera setup n the back that includes 64MP main camera, 5MP ultrawide angle camera, 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro camera. On the other hand, the Nokia X10 houses an 8MP camera on the front and a primary 48MP sensor on the back with the same secondary sensors as the Nokia X10.
Nokia G10, G20 specs
Both the Nokia G10 and G20 smartphones offer a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a 20:9 aspect ratio resolution.
They come powered by Mediatek G35 processor and are confirmed to get two years of regular security and software updates. The two run on Android 11 (Android One) OS version of the box and are backed by a 5050mAh battery. Both also house a single 8MP camera on the front but differ in terms of rear camera setup.
The Nokia G10 houses a quad camera setup that includes 13MP main camera, 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro camera. On the other hand, the Nokia G20 48MP sensor on the back with the same secondary sensors as the Nokia X10.
Nokia C10, C20 specs
Both the Nokia C10 and C20 smartphones offer a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a 20:9 aspect ratio resolution.
They also have the same cameras on the back as they have a 5MP sensor on the back and a single 5MP sensor on the front. The two run on Android 11 (Android Go edition) OS version of the box.
Backed by a 3000mAh battery, both offer dual SIM support and a microSD card.
While the Nokia C10 comes powered by Unisoc SC7331e SoC the C20 comes powered by SC9863a SoC.
