Rashami Desai on coping with 2 failed relationships: It was a tough time; I wondered what to do next | Bollywood Life

Bigg Boss 13 contestant Rashami Desai is one of the most loved actresses of telly town. Her personal life has been the most talked about in Bigg Boss 13 and it was quite difficult for her to cope up with it. However, she came out as a strong person and reached the finale of the show. Post Bigg Boss 13, she was seen in Naagin 4 as Shalakha. In an interview with ETimes, Rashami Desai she is now looking for a web series. Rashami said, “I am looking into the web medium because you have a chance to explore yourself as an actress and come across a lot of different content in web shows. En route your career, you always feel that you have missed out on something. I don’t want to regret later that I didn’t try when I wanted to. Yeah, I am looking into the movie space too. I have always been fascinated by Sanjeev Kumar’s film ‘Naya Din Nayi Raat’ wherein he played 9 roles. Or for that matter, even Priyanka Chopra’s What’s Your Rashee’ wherein she had 12 different avatars. As for TV, I am definitely up for it as long as the script and director are good.” Also Read – Bigg Boss 14: Nia Sharma, Rashami Desai, Sara Gurpal come out in support of Rubina Dilaik ahead of the finale

Rashami Desai also spoke about the love she had received from fans when she played Tapasya in Uttaran. She said, “‘Dil Se Dil Tak’ was a very normal housewife’s role. Honestly speaking, I would attribute all the adulation I receive till date to ‘Uttaran’. It was amazing and I had a very good equation with the serial’s director Nandita Mehra. I was the only one who had the heavy scenes. I remember I was in two minds whether I should do the show or not; I wanted to play the positive character as I was hung up in my notion that it was a heroine’s role. But even the Tapasya role I played blossomed into as good as a heroine’s role. I started enjoying playing the grey character that I was given; it gave me a wide range to improvise. I think nobody on Indian television has got a better role than the Tapasya one I got. The interesting side of it is that people who meet me for the first time still say ‘Oh, you look much younger than Tapasya did’. The graph of the role took me to become a grandmother, mind you.” The actress also spoke about how she coped up two failed relationships in the past. She said, “The first time out (marriage), I was shaken up very badly. I had got involved and taken a big step (marriage) in my life rather quickly. But I soon realised that it was better to move out from it. If two people stay in a relationship despite the fact that they don’t get along, it ends up hindering their growth and both of them get suppressed. And I came out from my marriage very respectfully.” Also Read – Bigg Boss 13’s Arhaan Khan wants to keep mum on his differences with Rashami Desai; says ‘One should not wash dirty linen in public’

“The second time out (love), it took me a long time to admit to the relationship. But now, looking back, I think I am blessed that everything got exposed in the public domain. ‘Jab aap achche hote hain toh aapke saath achcha hi hota hai (When you are good, good things will happen to you). It was a tough time no doubt as I wondered what to do next which is natural if one’s support system comes crashing down. One then doesn’t have the clarity ahead; the future plans lie dashed to the ground. I felt I was in a place where most people looked at their advantage. But the good thing was that I never spoke bad about anybody. Jo mere andar bhadaas thi, woh bhadaas maine nahi nikali (I did not give vent to my anger). But if it hadn’t been for Salman Khan Sir and a few friends, I would have been in a bad state. A lot of people may have had their judgment or perception about me and I have no complaints about that. But one thing despite the fact that Bigg Boss 13 is over still nags me because we are in COVID times. I ponder: ‘Am I safe even today?’ Life has a fetish for bowling googlies at you,” she added.
