Kartik Aaryan became a bankable actor with the success of the film Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. The film turned out to be a blockbuster and Kartik Aaryan became a sensation. Soon he appeared in many projects with big filmmakers. However, of late, news has all been about the actor’s ouster from big films. After dropping out from Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions’ Dostana 2, whispers had it that he is no longer a part of Red Chillies’ film titled Freddie with Katrina Kaif.
It was being reported that Kartik Aaryan was dropped from the project as he asked for changes in the script. But an insider told Bombay Times that makers themselves wanted changes in the script. “Kartik parted ways with Red Chillies’ Freddie in January. Things didn’t work out. There was no bad blood. That film hasn’t taken off yet and the makers themselves wanted changes in the script and director Ajay Bahl was clear that he won’t make any. No one has been signed for it, so Kartik saying no to being cast alongside Katrina Kaif is bizarre. Why are these stories coming out now?” A source also shared that the actor has returned the money to the production house and there is no animosity between the actor and the production house.
Apart from Dostana 2 and Freddie, reports also had it that Kartik Aaryan has lost out on a film with Zero director Anand L Rai. However, the filmmaker’s team rubbished all the rumors and released a statement saying, “These are baseless rumours. We’ve met Kartik for a different film and we’re still talking. We’ve taken another film altogether to Ayushmann and this is a complete mix up.”
The Pati Patni Aur Woh actor is yet to make any official comment on these reports. Meanwhile, he has Dhamaka and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 in the pipeline.
