Samsung has reportedly rolled out a new software update to Galaxy S20 Fan Edition (FE) 5G phones. The update, as per SamMobile, brings firmware number G781BXXU2CUD1 to the device.
The report says that the latest update improves the stability of the touchscreen along with the stability of the phone itself. Some users have reported facing problems with the touchscreen of the phone shortly after the phone’s launch earlier this month.
Notably, this is the second update that improves touchscreen problems for the device. While the changelog mentions that the “stability of touch screen has been improved”, it doesn’t go into any other details. The SamMobile report speculates that this could also be a vestige in the changelog leftover from the previous firmware updates.
The current firmware also updates the Android security patch for Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G to the month of April. With this, the handset joins the list of Samsung Galaxy S20 FE (4G model), the Galaxy A52, and Galaxy S21 series of phones that have received the latest Android security patch.
Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G phone comes with 8GB RAM with 128GB internal storage. It carries a price tag of Rs 55,999. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor and runs on the company’s own OneUI based on Android 11.
The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G has a triple camera setup at the back. The camera system comprises a 12MP ultra-wide angle sensor, a 12MP wide-angle sensor and an 8MP telephoto sensor. For selfies, the device has a 32MP sensor at the front. It houses a 4500mAh battery.
