The web show Paurashpur is on air finally. It has a fab line-up of actors like Annu Kapoor, Milind Soman, Shilpa Shinde, Shaheer Sheikh and others. Annu Kapoor plays the role of Raja Bhadra Pratap Singh who is as debauched as he can be. Actress Shilpa Shinde plays the role of Queen Meerawati. Talking about Shilpa Shinde, Annu Kapoor told SpotboyE, “I have never seen Shilpa’s work or had ever met her before yet I say that she is a wonderful girl and artist! I would love to work with her again. God bless her.” Shilpa Shinde had said that she was uncomfortable as Annu Kapoor is a very senior artiste.
Annu Kapoor further said, “It was my duty and responsibility as a senior and professional artist to make my co-actors feel comfortable and easy to perform with me. I was supposed to treat women like a debauch ruthless and tyrant king. I was supposed to look and perform like that. The craft of acting is to convince and make the audience feel the fiction. It is not necessary to indulge in real and brutal acts. Ask them, I was always gentle and cooperative with every woman.”
In an interview to Tellychakkar.com, Shilpa Shinde spoke about working with the veteran actor. She said, “We bonded really well. I was very uncomfortable working with Annu Kapoor ji because he is very senior. His vocabulary and everything is just mind-blowing. He is just too good and humble. He made me feel extremely comfortable. Also, he is very down-to-earth.”
The show is about a kingdom ruled by a tyrant king. Shilpa Shinde plays the role of Queen Meerawati who wants to change the scene of power.
