After getting engaged on December 14, writers Himanshu Sharma and Kanika Dillon tied the knot yesterday in a private ceremony. The Manmarziyaan and Kedarnath writer shared some beautiful pics from the function, where she wore a bright pink traditional attire with golden embroidery. On the other hand, Himanshu opted for a white kurta-pyjama with a mustard coloured Nehru jacket. Sharing the pics, Kanika wrote, “New beginnings.. #2021 #himanshusharma.”
Kanika Dhillon was earlier married to Judgementall Hai Kya director Prakash Kovelamudi, but they divorced in 2019. On the other hand, Himanshu and Swara Bhasker broke up in the same year. Himanshu Sharma had said during his engagement with Kanika, “After being in a relationship for a while now.. we are happy to announce we are engaged and getting married soon. Looking forward to a happy and great life ahead…”
In 2019, after Dia Mirza and Sahil Sangha announced their separation, we saw people started linking up Sahil Sangha and Kanika Dhillon. The writer rubbished the news. Dia Mirza also took a stand for Kanika Dhillon and said, “This is to clarify and put to rest all kind of speculation that is being bandied about by a certain section of the media regarding my separation with Sahil. It is most unfortunate to see the level of irresponsibility exercised. What is even more unfortunate is that our colleagues names are being tarnished and maligned by this media. As a woman I will not stand for another woman’s name being used so irresponsibly to perpetuate a lie.” She added, “There is absolutely no truth to the alleged reports and no third person is the reason for Sahil and I to part ways. We have requested the media to be graceful and allow us this time for some privacy. Really hope they can respect that.
