However, the makers of big-budget films, featuring South India stars, were adamant to release their projects first in cinema halls, which is why the new year will bring with it a lot of hope for movie lovers who love the experience of the big screen. Thalapathy Vijay fans have been patient through the pandemic for Master. The film brings together Vijay Sethupathi and the Bigil supertar onscreen for the first time. Master makers are hoping for a Pongal release while some portals have reported that it may come out on January 31, 2021. KGF Chapter 2
Everyone who has watched KGF Chapter 1 is keenly waiting for the sequel. Kannada star Yash has won the hearts of pan-India viewers with his swag, charisma and performance. The continuation is expected to be even more kickass with Sanjay Dutt joining the cast as Adheera, the menacing villain. Fans are keeping tabs and hyping every announcement of the makers. KGF Chapter 2 is expected to release in the first half of 2021 if everything goes well. Radhe Shyam
Fans of Prabhas are dying to watch him in Radhe Shyam, which also stars Pooja Hegde as the leading lady. The name of Prabhas’ character is Vikramaditya. It is being helmed by filmmaker Krish of Kanche fame. The romantic movie has been shot across Europe.

Like KGF 2, the mass hysteria around RRR is also phenomenal. SS Rajamouli brings together Ram Charan, Jr. NTR, Alia Bhatt, Olivia Morris and Ajay Devgn in this period drama based on the lives of Komaram Bheem and Alluri Sitarama Raju. The movie is apparently a heavily fictionalised version, loaded with awesome action sequences. It is expected to come out in the second half of 2021.

Sarkaru Vaari Paata
Mahesh Babu will be back on screen with Sarkaru Vaari Paata directed by Parasuram. The superstar is undergoing a physical makeover for the film with a leaner look, new hairdo and a tattoo as well. Keerthy Suresh is going to be the leading lady of the flick that deals with a bank scam.

Pushpa stars Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna in main roles. The film is an action masala entertainer. Fans went crazy seeing Allu Arjun’s rugged look in the poster. Pushpa is being directed by Sukumar.

Rajinikanth has resumed the shoot of Annaatthe in Hyderabad. The movie is being directed by Siva and Rajinikanth will be seen alongside Nayanthara and Keerthy Suresh in the film, touted to be Superstar’s last cinematic outing before he dives full time into politics. As of now, the release date has not been finalised.

Rocketry: The Nambi Effect
R. Madhavan is playing the lead role of Nambi Narayanan in this film. It is based on the arrest of the ISRO scientist who was known for his contribution to India’s space development. Suriya is supposed to have a cameo in it.

Vakeel Saab
Power Star Pawan Kalyan is making a comeback to films after a gap of two years in the Telugu remake of Pink, which also stars Nivetha Thomas, Anjali and Ananya Nagalla as the female protagonists.

Fans of Simbu will get to see him with Hansika Motwani in this action thriller directed by UR Jameel. Simbu has two other films, Easwaran and Maanaadu also lined up for 2021.
