Blockbuster filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar, who is known helming films like Sultan, Bharat, Tiger Zinda Hai and others, tied the knot in a private ceremony. The director shared a glimpse of his big day and posted a pic of holding hands with wife, without revealing the name or face of her. Sharing the pic, he wrote, “Bismillah”. Soon we saw Katrina Kaif, Sunil Grover and others pouring in congratulatory messages to the filmmaker.
On the professional front, Ali Abbas Zafar is set to make his OTT platform with Katrina Kaif starrer two-part superhero venture, which will soon go on the floors. Talking to HT, Ali recently said, “If everything goes well, we should start rolling sometime in January. Katrina has already started her physical prep. But she has a few other commitments to wrap up before starting work on the superhero films.”
Ali Abbas Zafar has temporarily shifted to Dubai to work for the same series. “Yes, right now, I — along with my team — is working out of Dubai. The reason being: an international team is working with us on the series but due to the Covid-19 induced travel restrictions, it wouldn’t have been easy for them to fly in-and-out of India. So, in order for things to function smoothly, we have been stationed here,” added Ali Abbas Zafar.
Meanwhile, Katrina Kaif will be next seen in Akshay Kumar starrer Sooryavanshi, which is directed by Rohit Shetty. The film also features Gulshan Grover, Abhimanyu Singh, Niharica Raizada, Jackie Shroff, Sikandar Kher, Nikitin Dheer, Vivan Bhatena, Kumud Mishra and Jaaved Jaaferi in pivotal roles with a cameo from Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh.
