Tollywood film star Pawan Kalyan and founder of the JanaSena Party has gone into self-isolation after several members from his personal and security team tested positive for Covid-19. Moreover, with several members of his family also found to be Covid positive, doctors have advised Pawan Kalyan to self-quarantine as a precautionary measure. He will, however, continue his routine party activities during quarantine, and interact with party colleagues through video conferencing.
“The majority of Janasena President Sri Pawan Kalyan’s chief executives, security and personal staff are affected by Corona. As part of a precautionary measure, Sri Pawan Kalyan went into quarantine on the advice of doctors. Members of his entourage are being inflicted with Corona one by one over the past week. All these people used to work closely with him. With this, he went into self-quarantine as a precautionary measure and as part of preventing the spreading of Corona. He was in a peaceful atmosphere on the advice of doctors. However, he is executing his daily works and party affairs. He is talking to the party leaders through teleconference,” read the statement issued by the JanaSena Party on their official Twitter handle.

Pawan Kalyan was scheduled to participate in an election campaign meeting in Tirupati along with BJP national President J.P. Nadda on April 12. As an ally of the BJP, he has been actively campaigning for the BJP candidate Ratnamala in the Tirupati Lok Sabha bypoll scheduled for April 17.
He is also currently riding high on the response to his latest movie Vakeel Saab, a remake of Amitabh Bachchan starrer Pink, released this week to packed houses. The film has collected over Rs 38 crore on the first day of its release in theatres making it the biggest opener at the box office in the post pandemic times.
