“I was a very mischievous boy when I was young. I loved playing outside as a kid. I really hated studying though. I got in trouble by my mom a lot. I even tried out for a b-boy competition even though I wasn’t good at it,” Jungkook told Japan’s FC Magazine in an interview. He further said, “I became intimidated by the large crowd. I started to shrink after being surrounded by so many strangers. This might be the time that I began being shy around people I didn’t know.”

In his 2019 interview with Paper Magazine, Jungkook had opened up about feeling pressurized because of his immense global fame. Revealing the greatest challenge of being famous, the youngest BTS member had said, “When something I said or did caused an issue or made people feel disappointed. I realized that I should think twice before I do anything, and not forget where I am, no matter what situation I may be in. The pressure [of being perfect] is always there. But I want to show them that I am improving.”

This year, the band earned their first Grammy nomination for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, but they lost out to Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande in the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category.
