Some reports suggest that the announcement of the postponement of the lucrative IPL 2021 is likely.

Earlier, two KKR players – Varun Chakravarthy and Sandeep Warrier – tested positive for Covid-19 and that forced the entire side to go into isolation. As KKR had played Delhi Capitals in their last match in Ahmedabad, the DC side was also asked to isolate.

This development on Monday led to the postponing of KKR’s match with the Royal Challengers Bangalore. The new dates have not been announced as yet.

Not just this, there was bad news from the Chennai Super Kings camp as well. Two members who are non-players tested positive for Covid-19. Following this, the upcoming game between CSK and Rajasthan Royals has been postponed.

Reports suggest that BCCI is planning to shift the entire tournament to Mumbai. It is being believed that the shifting could happen over the weekend. There is nothing official about it.
